Blue Plaque for Robert Marnock

A blue plaque to commemorate the achievements of Robert Marnock, the Botanical Gardens designer and first curator, was unveiled on 18 March 2024. Following the success of the Robert Marnock celebration last year, the Sheffield Botanical Gardens Trust commissioned the plaque. The event was attended by Councillor Richard Williams, the Gardens’ Education officer, the Head Gardener, one of the Gardens’ Trustees and three members of the Friends of the Gardens.
