All New Interpretation Signage at the Gardens

The National Heritage Lottery funded Education and Engagement Project at Sheffield Botanical Gardens will be coming to an end in May of this year. It has been a fantastic two years of delivery for this project and setting up the foundation of the Education Programme for the Gardens which will continue into the future. The last few Lottery objectives have included the design and installation of all new interpretation signage throughout the Gardens and Pavilions which informs the public about the Gardens planting and heritage. We have developed signage on all the different areas of plantings, a adaptation trail in the Pavilions and boards detailing some of the Garden’s history. There is also now all new directional signage in place to help guide people around the site, complementing the map which we updated in 2022. Getting this signage together has been a very large piece of work, made possible by the effort and support provided by many helping contributors from the Friends and Trust who have made available their extensive knowledge and proofing skills. Make sure to take a walk around the Gardens to see all the educational information we now share with the public thanks to National Lottery Players!
