Take a walk with Cheryl Bowen, Community Curator, around Weston Park, one of the first publicly owned parks in Sheffield. The local authority purchased the grounds in the 1870s and then commissioned Robert Marnock to modify the private gardens to become a public park.
This walk is part of a programme of events throughout June that celebrate the work and influence of landscape gardener Robert Marnock on Sheffield’s public spaces.
The programme is in partnership with Sheffield General Cemetery, Sheffield Botanical Gardens and Sheffield Museums.
